Hey, Internet.

Get to Know me.

It’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Abi. Before I dive into all of the topics I hope to explore on this blog, I would like to take this first as an opportunity for you to get to know me better via this sort of format!

If you’ve checked out the rest of my website, you’ll discover quite rapidly that I am a singer. From a young age, I live and breathed music. I grew up in musical theater, writing poetry, listening to all the music I possibly could. (Even the ones with explicit words, much to my parents dismay.) At my core, I am a girl who grew up in Texas, listening to women like Shania Twain and Faith Hill—two that I call upon not only for my love of country but as well as my love for fashion.

I find fashion to be more than what’s walking down the runway—it’s Shania in the “That Don’t Impress Me Much” music video, it’s Faith Hill wearing sublime minimal silk dresses. Fashion is self-expression, it is confidence, and ultimately what I consider to be the visual art form of music.

I will never forget the first time I discovered high fashion—in fact, I tell this story so much I might as well be a broken record. With that said, it was truly the first time I fell in love with fashion, it was simultaneously small and life changing. I was watching “The Devil Wears Prada'‘ and the feeling I experienced watching Anne Hathaway debut her new look in the most spectacular Chanel boots in forever etched in my mind and heart, it was like being inspired by an incredibly song. Those 90 minutes were truly pivotal for me and fashion, at a mere 10 years old.

I recall asking my friend, “what’s Prada?” and the Pandora box I call my love, more so addiction, for fashion was burst open.

From a young age, I was lucky enough to travel often. (Fun fact, I took my first steps on a cruise ship.) Growing up, my parents both worked in travel.

It is needless to say, 50 countries before 15 definitely instilled a massive appreciation in me for different culture’s music, fashion, customs, and languages—and a nasty case of wanderlust I might add. To this day, I use every ounce of free time I have to see new places and return to those I have grown so fond of. I moved to Los Angeles at the age of 12 and further my love and appetite to learn about other cultures grew.

Living in LA, where pretty much anything goes, taught me to be fearlessly unique in my style both fashionably and musically. I say it with 100 percent confidence, I do not think I would be half the person I am today without my Texas roots having to scoot over for some big city ones to grow.

Presently, I reside mainly in Nashville and it has been an incredible past three years. I have found myself growing to love Nashville like I do Texas and LA, and in some ways Nash feels like a cross between my two past cities.

If you’ve made it this far, THANK YOU. I can’t begin to tell you how much it means to me that you are taking some time out of your day to read and learn about me.

I truly hope that this blog will give you, as a reader, a piece of me the same way I hope my music does. Here you’ll find my ramblings about recent travels—the glamour and the realness. I’ll be documenting all of trends I’m digging, products I adore, outfits I wear, lifestyle bits I follow, my fitness tips, and more! I also hope to write more about my own struggles, what inspires me, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. Feel more than welcome to comment, request, and add to these posts—we’re in this together.

I can’t wait to embark on this journey with you all.
